Oceania Goju Ryu Karate Tournament

New Zealand Goju Ryu karate are hosting the first Oceania
Goju Ryu Karate Tournament in Auckland on Sunday 6th
May.

The tournament is being held at Farm Cove Intermediate
School Gym, Butley Drive, Pakuranga, Auckland.

This will be a great opportunity for members of the club to
compete against other traditional Goju Ryu karateka from
around New Zealand as well as Australia and Fiji.

REFEREE SEMINAR
Shihan Hiroshi Fujimoto 8t Dan is the Chief Referee for this
tournament.  Shihan Fujimoto will be holding a seminar at the
Remuera Club for all those wanting to judge or referee on
Saturday 5th May 2 - 4 pm.

PRACTICE TOURNAMENT
The Remuera Club will be hosting a practice tournament on
Sunday 29th April at the Victoria Avenue School Hall from
9am.  This will be a low key affair and is designed to give
members an idea of what to expect at a tournament.
The focus in tournament kumite is
to score a point not to hit the
opponent
