Junior Class Training

Our training sessions for children are specially designed for them.
The children do not do the same training as seniors as their
muscles, skeletal system and bodies are still growing and
developing, therefore exercises and training are designed to
encourage and aid such development.

Our training sessions are varied to ensure children have a balance
between physical activity and fun.  Occasionally we focus on self
defence techniques to teach children simple yet effect restraining
holds or throws.

The training is controlled, disciplined and challenging, but
enjoyable, fun and rewarding.

Karate training is well known for its ability to:

Improve coordination and balance as all movements are done
with both right and left sides of the body.

Improve focus and discipline as all students are required to
follow clearly defined routine and boundaries.  Students must show
respect to instructors,  fellow students and themselves.

Builds strength, stamina and flexibility as training can involve a
rigorous aerobic workout that includes speed and strength
exercises.  Stretching improves technique and minimises risk of
injuries.

Builds confidence as they improve with the belt ranking system
gives students a sense of accomplishment.

Parents are welcome to join in and train as well.  On most evenings
there will be several adults training with the Juniors.

Karate is one of the few activities that kids and parents can
participate in together.
