WELCOME
Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate – Remuera is a member of the New Zealand
Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Association (NZOGKA), which is headed by
Kyoshi Dennis May 8th Dan. The NZOGKA is an international body
devoted to the teaching of traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate and
is directly affiliated to the Okinawa Goju Ryu Karatedo Kyokai, which is
headed by Hanshi Koshin Iha 10th Dan.
We train and teach traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do in the
same way as taught in Okinawa (the home of karate). Training is
progressively more demanding as students physical and mental
strength and skills increases.
Our classes are aimed at personal development, self defence, health
and fitness.
We do not focus on "sport" karate. Students are welcome to take part
in tournaments if they wish with the support and encouragement of
instructors.
The Remuera Dojo started in October 2004.

New Zealand.
